When it comes to rivalries in the AFL, they don’t get much bigger than Collingwood and Carlton.

In fact, most would argue it’s the most fierce of the lost.

In this episode of Footy: Then and Now, David ‘Swan’ McKay and Tony Shaw re-live some of the most iconic moments in footy history, like the iconic Harmes slap back into play (was it still in play!?) and what should “never have happened” at the Pies’ three-quarter-time huddle in the 1981 decider that led to their demise.

Shaw also opens up on a missed opportunity that would have seen him coaching at the Blues and the pair discuss the current rivalry, and whether it’s as big as it has ever been.
