The easiest way to make sure cash ‘survives’ in Australia

The easiest way to ensure cash remains legal tender in Australia is to keep using it.

That’s the advice from Steve Worthington, an adjunct professor at Swinburne University of Technology.

It comes after one of country’s biggest banks revealed it would stop handling cash at some branches, sparking anger and concerns physical money was being phased out.
