High voter turn out is among several promising signs for Kamala Harris’ bid to win the White House, according to an expert on the ground in the US.

This year’s election is expected to be tight, with battleground states such as Pennsylvania, Arizona and Michigan set to decide who becomes the next president.

American political podcast host and writer Molly Jong-Fast told Ross and Russ there could be several good signs for the Harris campaign emerging early.

“So far we’re seeing very high turn out which is good for Democracts historically,” she said on 3AW Breakfast.

“We’re seeing a lot of woman voters which is also good for Democrats – the Trump campaign has made almost no effort to woo woman voters.”
