The country cafe that’s gone back in time, just for one day!

A cafe in Warrnambool that’s been operating for 70 years yesterday served up a treat for customers.

Macks Snacks owner Diane Coates asked customers to pay in the pre-decimal currency to buy something off the old 1948 menu!

“We’ve been here for 70 years in the same spot, serving pretty much the same foods, we have upgraded our menu a little,” she said.

“But everything that is on our ’48 menu we can still do today.”

Fair to say it was a fairly meat-heavy menu!

“There was a lot of meat served up yesterday!”
