‘The big question’ the Pharmacy Guild president has about prescription changes
The president of the Pharmacy Guild of Australia says he’s got a “big question” about the federal government’s move to double script lengths for many common medicines.
National president of the Pharmacy Guild, Trent Twomey, claims the change will mean more Australians will be forced to go without medication.

Mr Twomey says the change “will cut about $170,000 from your local community pharmacy”.
“When this was implemented in the UK we saw 1100 pharmacies shut. When we saw this in New Zealand we saw 70 pharmacies shut,” he said.
