The aspect of Ben McKay’s game which is ‘not up to AFL standard’

Jimmy Bartel has weighed in on the criticism surrounding Essendon key defender Ben McKay, following his performance against Hawthorn in round 1.

Bombers head coach Brad Scott has come to the defence of McKay, stating the criticism has been “unfair”, with the comments aimed at 3AW’s Matthew Lloyd.

“My only gripe with players is if you keep making the same mistake, and Ben keeps making the same mistake,” Bartel said on Wide World of Sports.
