The Andrews Government gives green light to $650m wind farm
The Andrews Government says community concerns about a 650 million dollar wind farm have been taken into account, as it approves the major development in the west of the state.
The 96-turbine farm will be one of the biggest in Victoria.
The government altered the size and location due to concerns about nearby wetlands and bird life.
‘We love renewable energy, and we’re going to do everything we can to make sure this is the renewable energy capital of our nation, because it’s all about jobs,’ said the Premier Daniel Andrews on Tuesday.
The government aims to have 25 percent of Victoria’s energy be renewable by 2020.
