Getting fat: Australia’s alarming obesity stats
A new government report has shown a worrying one-in-five children aged 2-4 are overweight or obese.
Toddlers today are twice as likely to be obese as children the same age in 1995.
The Australian Institute of Health and Welfare report also revealed our portion sizes have grown by 66 per cent.
Nearly two-thirds of Australians — 63% — aged 18 and over are overweight or obese, with higher rates for men than women.
