Melbourne bus drivers are “at their limit” and the replacement of train services with buses in Melbourne’s west for the next two weeks is “going to clearly pose challenges”, according to the Transport Workers Union.

TWU Victoria branch secretary Mem Suleyman says three-in-four bus drivers say they “feel fatigued, they feel run down and they’re being squeezed”.

“The survey we’re running is quite alarming,” he told Heidi Murphy, filling in for Neil Mitchell.
