The ‘added obstacle’ which occurred at the mammoth factory fire in Cheltenham

Fire crews had their hands full this morning, when a fire erupted at a factory on Chesterville Road in Cheltenham, due to lithium batteries catching fire.
Fire Rescue Victoria has deemed the situation under control, but at its peak there were 25 fire trucks and 70 firefighters there to put the blaze out, with two of the trucks failing at the scene.
“They were extremely disappointed that they were confronted with an added obstacle, and that is that their critical equipment they need failed,” Peter Marshall, Secretary of the United Firefighters Union said on 3AW Drive.
