Teenager charged after fatal stabbing at shopping centre in Melbourne’s west

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with murder over the fatal stabbing of another teenager at a shopping centre in Melton West.

Multiple callers alerted 3AW to the tragic incident yesterday.

Police believe a fight broke out between two teenagers at the outdoor dining area of Woodgrove Shopping Centre yesterday, where a 16-year-old died after he was allegedly stabbed a number of times.

The frightening assault took place in front of school holiday crowds.

Investigators subsequently arrested a 15-year-old Melton West boy, and he’s been charged with one count of murder, and will face court today.
