Teenage boy escapes alleged attempted kidnapping at Vermont South bus stop
A teenage boy has escaped an alleged kidnap attempt in Melbourne’s outer east.
Police have been told a 17-year-old Burwood East boy had just gotten off a bus at Vermont South when he was approached by a man from behind.
A black Holden Astra, believed to be driven by a female and containing another man, mounted the curb in front of him and he was forced into the back seat by the man.
The incident happened on Springvale Road between 3.30pm and 4pm on Sunday, February 5.
The car travelled a short distance before the victim managed to escape.
Investigators have released CCTV images of two men and a woman they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
