Tara Brown has lifted the lid on the infamous 60 Minutes interview she did with cancer con artist Belle Gibson.

Ms Gibson is back in the spotlight following the release of a Netflix series based on the story, where she launched a book and app based on the lie she had brain cancer.

Speaking on 3AW Drive, Tara Brown says her interview with Ms Gibson was one of the most shocking interviews she did during her storied career.

“It’s the most confounding interview I’ve done,” she told Jacqui Felgate.

“I thought we were all there to get to the bottom of what was going on, and I thought that was her ambition as well.”
