Sydney draftee Tyrone Leonardis in hot water for ‘liking’ Facebook pages critical of Adam Goodes
Sydney draftee Tyrone Leonardis is in hot water after he apparently ‘liked’ two Facebook pages critical of AFL great Adam Goodes.
Leonardis, a small defender drafted from the Northern Knights, was taken by the Swans with pick 51 during Tuesday night’s draft.
But it didn’t take long for the following screen shots, pictured below, to appear on social media.
It’s understood the Swans have spoken to Leonardis and he has apologised.
Goodes, one of Sydney’s greatest players, retired this year after 372 games.
His final season was plagued by many opposition fans booing him.
It’s the second year in a row a young draftee has found themselves in an awkward position at their new club, with Carlton’s Blaine Boekhorst caught being critical of then Blues coach Mick Malthouse prior to being selected by the Blues.
