Sydney dealt huge double injury blow

Sydney has copped a massive blow ahead of its clash against Geelong, with Lance Franklin and Dan Hannebery both to miss through injury.

Franklin has a bruised heel, while Hannebery has groin troubles.

The Swans said Franklin suffered the injury in Round 1.

“He hasn’t been able to do any significant training since the Round 1 game against West Coast,” coach John Longmire said.

“He hasn’t responded after giving him time off and it got worse on the weekend so he won’t be playing this week.”
