Swan Street to shut down on Grand Final day
Swan Street will shut down on Grand Final day.
It follows chaotic scenes last year when Richmond won the premiership.
Swan Street will be closed to traffic and trams from 4pm on September 29.
The closure will stretch from Punt Road to Church Street.
Roads Minister Luke Donnellan told Neil Mitchell there will also be no car parking along the stretch.
“Further we will be doing clearways there from 6am to ensure no one is caught up parking there during the day and the closure later on,” he said.
“It’ll be shut from 4pm until 7am the following day.”
