Steve Smith and David Warner handed massive bans

Steve Smith and David Warner have been handed 12-month bans by Cricket Australia.

It’s also been revealed sandpaper, not tape, was used to ball tamper in South Africa.

Cameron Bancroft, who used sandpaper, will serve a nine-month ban.

DAve Warner has been told he can never again hold a leadership position.

Coach Darren Lehmann broke his silence overnight after it was found he had no knowledge of the tactic.

An emotional Lehmann acknowledged team culture has to change, and wants to be aprt of that process.

Speaking on 3AW, Morris said Warner’s career in the baggy green was all but done and dusted.

“I’d be staggered if David Warner played for Australia again,” he said.

“And that might also be his choice.”
