Steele Sidebottom accepts two-match suspension

The bad news keeps coming for Collingwood supporters, with confirmation they will be without key ball-winner Steele Sidebottom for two weeks.

Sidebottom has accepted a two-match ban for rough conduct against Dan Hannebery in Saturday night’s disastrous loss to the Swans.

The Pies’ vice-captain risked a three-match suspension if he challenged the Match Review Panel’s finding.

The AFL tribunal will not sit with all players accepting their penalties from the first eight games of round one.

Jeff Garlett, Tom Lynch and Jarryn Geary can all accept fines.
