State government confirms short-stay levy in new housing big build

The state government have now confirmed a long-suspected short-stay accommodation levy.

Nine News reporter, Heidi Murphy, says customers who book a stay will be charged $7.50 for every $100 spent.

“It will be charged on all the platforms … that money will go into Homes Victoria, but there’s a kicker in it too,” she told Tony Jones, filling in for Neil Mitchell.
