St Kilda residents do their block over Gatwick party noise
A rowdy party in one of the renovated Gatwick penthouses has left St Kilda residents fuming.
The noise started booming from one of the upper floors of the iconic building that featured on reality TV program The Block on Saturday night and went into the early hours of Sunday morning.
Police were called but couldn’t attend, prompting residents in the normally quiet part of St Kilda to scream protests across the street.
But the pleas for peace fell on deaf ears.
One resident, music industry PR manager Fenella Wagener, told 3AW Mornings the noise was “horrific”.
“It was just like a nightclub in my apartment,” she said.
Residents are worried the parties will become a regular feature.
