Spirits guru says gin will be popular this spring

There’s a new book that explores and celebrates Australia’s diverse range of spirits, and the distilleries that produce them.

Whiskey, gin, and even moonshine – The Australian Spirits Guide covers them all.

Author Luke McCarthy joined Denis Walter in the 3AW studio to serve up the latest in the world of spirits.

Luke said gin is going to be popular during the Spring Carnival, and in particular the negroni cocktail.

‘It’s very tasty and refreshing. It’s got a bitter edge to it, but it’s also very rich,’ he said.
