Special needs portable toilet stolen from pony club south east of Melbourne
A special needs toilet has been stolen from a pony club south east of Melbourne, leaving its riders who use wheelchairs without an accessible bathroom.
On Facebook, The Western Port RDA (Riding Develops Abilities) in Bittern said they are disappointed as the item is very expensive and they’re entirely staffed by volunteers.
Kate Makrikostas from the RDA told Nick McCallum it’s “extremely disappointing”.
“It would have a required a crane and a truck or trailer to move it, so it definitely was a planned thing,” Ms Makrikostas said.

Police confirmed to 3AW Drive they are investigating the theft.
Investigators believe a tray truck or large trailer with a crane or lifting device would have been required to remove the unit.
It is believed the portable toilet was stolen between December 1-8.
