‘Something you have to consider’: Brad Battin speaks on leadership of Liberal Party

Despite the ongoing pressure on the Labor Party, the spotlight has been put on the opposition over recent weeks with a leadership spill set to happen within the Liberal Party.

Shadow Police Minister Brad Battin joined 3AW Mornings ahead of the Liberal party room meeting on Friday and was questioned on if he would take the opportunity to become the new leader of the party.

“If it’s the best interest of the party and there was someone to leave the party at anytime in the future, that is something you have to consider,” Battin told Tony Jones.

“At the moment John is leading and I spoke to him yesterday and I said to him that I would give him the respect of not going into the party room about that this week.”
