Neil Mitchell has been left than impressed with the AFL’s response to the Israel flag controversy at Marvel Stadium on Saturday, saying “something strange” appears to be going on.

Neil Mitchell said he found it interesting it took the AFL “four or five hours” to publicly state there was no issue with the flag being taken into the ground.

“There is something strange going on here,” he said.
