Snake-catcher Barry tells Ross and John about his nasty cot catch
A red-bellied black snake has been found in a cot at a childcare centre on the Mornington peninsula.
Snake catcher Barry Goldsmith, who caught the offending reptile, told 3AW Breakfast that there’s fewer snakes around this season, but he’s being kept busy as more people move into areas populated by snakes.
‘I don’t know how it actually got in (the childcare centre), probably underneath the door … that’s what they’re doing,’ he said.
‘Anywhere a mouse can go, a snake can go.’
