Smattering of stars and youngsters galore in first AFLX teams
The first AFLX teams have been announced.
The six teams facing off in Adelaide on Thursday night have named mixed bags with some big-name stars including Nathan Fyfe, Robbie Gray, Tom Hawkins and Steele Sidebottom named among mostly young line-ups.
Jack Watts will step out for new club Port Adelaide for the first time, while form Gold Coast Suns forward Brandon Matera will pull on a Fremantle jumper.
Among the high draft picks in line to announce themselves are no.2 pick Andrew Brayshaw (Fremantle) and Collingwood’s top pick, Jaidyn Stephenson (no.6).
Adelaide has picked two players from its 2017 grand final team, in Andy Otten and Jake Kelly.
