Small white car leads police on a pursuit, ramming other motorists
A tradie from Melbourne’s south east has described how he tried to stop a high-speed pursuit this morning.
Police had been chasing a white Holden Barina through Boronia, Belgrave and the Berwick area.
At times the vehicle had been on the wrong side of the road driving with its lights off.

There are multiple reports of the driver ramming other motorists.
Chris was getting a coffee at Berwick while on his way to work when he saw the car speed past.
He decided to step in.
‘I was just getting my coffee and he flew past me and so I jumped in my car, rang Triple Zero and started following him,’ he told Ross and John.
‘I clipped the back of him and spun him around but he went the opposite way back towards the highway.’
The car has since been dumped, with three people fleeing.
Two of those remain on the run.
