Skiing sensation from Barwon Heads admits she’s still on cloud nine after winning gold

Barwon Heads skiing sensation Jakara Anthony admits she’s still on cloud nine after winning gold in the moguls at the Winter Olympics in Beijing.

She told 3AW it had “all been a blur” since winning the nation’s first gold medal at the winter games in 12 years.

She told Heidi Murphy it’s an incredible feeling to achieve a life long dream.

“I’m so happy to have to be able and go and put down a run I was happy with,” she said.

“I was truly happy when I crossed the finish line and was proud of what I did, and no matter what the outcome was I was going to be so stoked.

“To achieve that dream and get the gold medal was just the icing on the cake.”
