Six teens charged in relation to deadly Reservoir stabbing
Six teenagers have been charged over what police say was the “profoundly violent” death of a teenager in Melbourne’s north-east.
Police investigating the alleged murder of 16-year-old Declan Cutler say it’s one of the most vicious and brutal attacks they’ve seen.
The teenager was stabbed to death when he was leaving a party in Reservoir in the early hours of March 13.
Police and paramedics were called to Elizabeth Street just before 2.30am after reports someone had been assaulted.
They treated the 16-year-old victim but he could not be saved and died at the scene.
On Wednesday, police arrested several teenagers from Melbourne’s west and north-west.
Six boys — aged, 17, 16, 15, 14 and 13 — have been charged with murder and will face a children’s court today.
A 17-year-old girl who was arrested has been released pending further enquiries.
Thee investigation into the death is ongoing.
