Should Gibbs remain a leader?

Having missed out on his wish to be traded to Adelaide at the end of the season, Bryce Gibbs returned to Carlton training today.

The former number 1 draft pick who is currently in the leadership group has been endorsed by current captain Marc Murphy to stay in the leadership group.

‘He’s been a great leader for the footy club,’ Murphy said on Monday.

‘I’d love to have him still amongst the leadership group.’

However Dwayne Russell and Sam McClure believe it could be difficult to keep Gibbs in the leadership group, particularly if he is still looking to move from the club at the end of the 2017 season.
