Shorten urges Australians to ‘dial down level of agro’ in Israel-Palestine protests
Federal Labor MP Bill Shorten has called on Australia to tone down the level of aggression which has marred the ongoing protests against the war in the Middle East.
Neil Mitchell reported on Wednesday that fake corpses were placed outside the offices of several Victorian MPs, including in front of Mr Shorten’s office.
He said while he respected people’s right to protest, he said the graphic nature of the latest protests didn’t help anyone.

“People have the right to protest in this country and there’s a lot of distress in Israel and Gaza,” Mr Shorten told 3AW Mornings.
“But how you protest matters too – we need to dial down the level of aggro. It doesn’t help anyone else if we lose the social cohesion here.”
