Second teen arrested after man pushed off Mornington Pier
A second teenager has been arrested following an alleged assault in Mornington earlier this week.
A 17-year-old Hastings boy was arrested last night and released. He’s expected to be charged on summons. It comes after a 14-year-old boy was arrested on Tuesday following the emergence of shocking footage showing an elderly man allegedly being pushed off Mornington Pier on Sunday night.
3AW’s Jacqui Felgate has been told the man couldn’t swim and had to be rescued by bystanders who were on the pier.

Police were called to reports a man was allegedly assaulted and pushed into the water at about 11.30pm on Sunday. He was not seriously injured and was pulled from the water by onlookers.
A 14-year-old Crib Point boy has been charged on summons with reckless endangerment and unlawful assault and will appear before a children’s court at a later date.
