A paramedic is lucky to be alive after an ambulance rolled down an embankment in the Hume region late last week.

Secretary of the Victorian Ambulance Union, Danny Hill, said the paramedic involved is “very experienced” but had just finished the “shift from hell”, working for over 18 hours straight!

“It’s a sign that you can’t rely on a fatigued person to identify that they may be fatigued,” Hill told Heidi Murphy, filling in for Tom Elliott on 3AW Mornings.
