Senior Constable interviewed after baby held over Cremorne balcony on Melbourne Cup day

A senior police member has been interviewed after a baby was allegedly held over a Cremorne balcony on Melbourne Cup day.

Victoria Police confirmed on Friday one of its members, a senior constable from the Eastern Region, was helping them with their investigation.

A photo was taken of the harrowing incident.

Professional Standards Command are providing oversight to the police investigation.
