Senator Lidia Thorpe slammed for ’embarrassing’ outburst at King Charles

Senator Lidia Thorpe was escorted out of the Great Hall by security, after screaming at King Charles and Queen Camilla.

Thorpe said “You are not our king, you are not sovereign, give us our land back, give us what you stole from our people,” at the conclusion of King Charles’ speech.

Senator James Patterson joined 3AW Drive and slammed Thorpe’s behaviour, labelling it “embarrassing.”

“It was embarrassing, but it really only reflects only on Senator Lidia Thorpe and not on our country and parliament,” Patterson said on 3AW Drive.

Opposition Leader John Pesutto reacted to Lidia Thorpe’s outburst towards King Charles.

“You are humiliating the parliament and the Australian people,” Pesutto said on 3AW Drive
