Scott Thompson in hot water after hitting Patrick Dangerfield with forearm

North Melbourne defender Scott Thompson is all but certain to be in hot water over a high hit on Patrick Dangerfield.

Thompson struck the reigning Brownlow medallist in the face with a forearm in the first quarter of the Roos’ clash with Geelong at Etihad Stadium.

The hit appeared to leave Dangerfield briefly stunned, but the Geelong star played on.

The Match Review Panel will almost certainly look at the incident.
