Scott Morrison says his run in with furious pensioner Ray Drury won’t change the way he interacts with the public in the lead up to the election.

The pensioner unleashed on the Prime Minister at a Newcastle pub earlier this week.

But Mr Morrison says the interaction doesn’t mean he’ll change how he campaigns.

“I listened to respectfully and carefully and we’ve been following up with Ray since that night,” he told Tom Elliott.

“As a member of Parliament, and as a Prime Minster, you listen and you listen carefully, and people have been through a tough time in the last three years.”

Mr Morrison remained tight-lipped on when an election will be called.

“It won’t be very long from now,” he said.
