Scott Alan Murdoch charged over the murder of Kylie Blackwood

Police have arrested and charged a 38-year-old Morwell man over the murder of Pakenham mother Kylie Blackwood.

Scott Alan Murdoch was arrested by members of the Homicide Squad in Rowville early Friday morning.

The arrest comes just days after police released new details in relation to her death.

The 42-year-old mum was killed in August 2013.

Her body was discovered by her two 11-year-old daughters when they got home from school.

Her alleged killer was charged with one count of murder and will front the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Saturday morning.
