Scientist Rebellion — an offshoot of Extinction Rebellion —blocked two lanes of the Kings Way inbound exit ramp off the West Gate Freeway during the morning peak.
Three people have been arrested in relation to the protest and the road is now cleared.
Honorary Associate Professor at ANU, Nick Abel, told Neil Mitchell he turned out to the protest because the situation is now urgent.
“I’m 80 this year. We’ve been telling them since I was 30 years old this was coming,” he said.
