SCC: ‘could be weeks’ before parts of Victoria see electricity restored
The State Control Centre has revealed it could be some time before parts of Victoria have their electricity restored after wild weather yesterday took down powerlines and transmission towers.
State Control Centre spokesperson, James Todd, says 300,000 homes are still without power from yesterdays peak of over 530,000.
“Previous experience from other storm events such as what happened through the Dandenongs and east of Melbourne back in 2021, it could be weeks,” he told Tom Elliott.
