Sandy Roberts sheds light on cancer diagnosis
Legendary AFL commentator Sandy Roberts has spoken on his cancer diagnosis, revealing it’s been an “interesting” 12 months.
Roberts was diagnosed last May with a blood cancer called myeloma, but only went public with the news yesterday.
Professor Andrew Spencer, who has helped treat Roberts in the past year, said there’s a “huge range of outcomes” from myeloma.

Roberts says “it’s not personal, it’s more about raising awareness” for Myeloma Australia, which currently has no federal government funding.
