Sam McClure breaks BIG NEWS in the AFL CEO race

Sam McClure has broken big news off the top in Wide World of Sports, with a replacement for AFL CEO Gillon McLachlan reportedly decided by the league.

McClure explained how a series of candidates including AFL CFO Travis Auld, Western Bulldogs President Kylie Watson-Wheeler and Richmond CEO Brendon Gale were considered, but AFL GM of Football Operations Andrew Dillon was the standout for the role.

“Although he hasn’t come from nowhere, in the sense of a race, he’s come from the clouds,” McClure said.
