A bonnet that may have belonged to Marie Antoinette is on display in Melbourne.
The exquisite bonnet, pictured below, can be seen in the Como collection on Wednesdays and weekends.
Curator at the National Trust, Elizabeth Anya-Petrivna, told Ross and John there is a paper trail in the Melbourne Uni archive that suggests the headpiece may have belonged to the 18th century monarch.
‘It could all be spurious, maybe someone’s pranking us from the past, but it’s making me itch to know more,’ Ms Anya-Petrivna said.
