Rumour Confirmed: Police charge man following pursuit on Friday

RUMOUR CONFIRMED: Victoria Police have confirmed an 18-year-old Frankston man has been charged following an alleged crime spree on Friday afternoon.

Postie Down told the Rumour File earlier this week about a pursuit of a stolen vehicle in Melbourne’s south-eastern suburbs on Friday.

Tacks had been placed on the road to try and puncture the car’s tyres and slow the man down. 

The offender then jumped out of his car, assaulted a passing postman, before stealing the bike and continuing on for another 10 kilometres. 

The man handed himself in on Monday.

He was charged with robbery, reckless conduct endangering life, evading police, theft of a motor car and criminal damage.
