RUMOUR CONFIRMED: Gippsland Water sends out brown water bills

Don’t be alarmed if you receive a brown water bill, it’s all part of the job.

Rumour File contributor Milk Milk Lemonade said a regional utility is sending out their current bills on brown paper. 

Paul Clarke from Gippsland Water confirmed the rumour and told 3AW Breakfast the move was about ‘capturing people’s imagination.’

‘It’s a once off bill just to highlight the importance of the big job we do in regards to treating sewerage and waste water,’ he said.
