RUMOUR CONFIRMED: Emergency water to be trucked to Lorne

RUMOUR CONFIRMED

Water storages are so low at Lorne that emergency supplies are to be trucked in from today the first time in the town’s history.

Barwon Water says dry conditions and low water storages across the surf coast have led to restrictions in Colac, Lorne and Apollo Bay.

Joe Adamski from Barwon Water says around 200,000 litres a day will help out with supplies.

‘We’ll have to do it until it rains,’ he told Ross and John.
