Roger Montgomery: Story of the year

According to investment expert Roger Montgomery, the story of the year is  Bitcoin.

Breaking $1,000 at the beginning of the year, Bitcoin jumped to almost US$17,000 last night.

Roger Montgomery joins Ross Greenwood in the studio for the last time this year to talk about this currency phenomenon.

“Rule number one of investing; know your exit strategy.”

When buying Bitcoin from a third party website called Coinbase, Roger found he was able to purchase the artificial currency, but no facility was offered to sell it.

“There are only 500,000 wallets in the world with more than $10,000 worth of Bitcoin so we are really just scratching the surface of who can buy this.

“Given it is an artificial currency, it’s backed by nothing and has no government regulation.”
