Rise of Australian dramas as networks fight back
Australians can expect a number of quality drama series produced on home soil, as networks fight back against online streaming giants Netflix and Stan.
Herald Sun TV writer Colin Vickery told Ross and John the networks were pouring money into producing drama series, despite the cost.
Offspring and The Good Girl are set to return next year, and Channel 7 announced a number of new series.
‘Stan has started to do some of its own Australian productions, up until now they’ve been streaming stuff from overseas,’ he said.
‘They are definitely putting a lot of money into (Australian dramas).’
