Richo reacts to reported return of Tasmanian VFL team

AFL great Matthew Richardson says reviving Tasmania’s VFL team would be a “step in the right direction”.

A report in the Herald Sun says VFL clubs have been told a Tasmanian team will likely join the competition in 2021.

Richardson, a proud Tasmanian, welcomed the news on 3AW.

“It would give kids down there a pathway and something to aim towards,” he said.

“It’s a step in the right direction if rumour is fact.”
