Retail staff copping aggression over Voice referendum
The Voice to Parliament debate is fuelling aggression towards retail workers, according to the boss of Australia’s peak retail body.
Australian Retailers Association boss Paul Zahra says customer aggression surged during the pandemic and remains heightened.
“There are many small businesses particularly that are displaying the ‘yes’ campaign in their windows and they’re particularly getting targeted, and that’s impacting on the mental health of the individuals that work in those stores,” he told Tony Jones, filling in for Neil Mitchell.
